Now, how many out there know what "Tre Archi" means? Huh? Let's have a show of hands. Right, dear students! T H R E E - A R C H E S.
This newly restored apartment is located in the North West side of Venice called Cannaregio. This area, thanks to its position, benefits of a really authentic Venetian atmosphere in a place that is challenged to keeping the old way of life going. The Archi apartment is part of a gated property. The entrance is through the garden belonging to the condominium. On the same property there are other apartments sharing the entrance and a part of the communal garden. In the past this group of houses used to be called "Barchesse" (wings) of a Palazzo of the XVI Century. It sleeps 4 + 2 in two double bedrooms and two bathrooms. It has a lovely terrace perfect to rest after a day spent visiting one of the most incredible cities of the world, Venice. Tre Archi apartment is located at few meters from the Fondamenta di Cannaregio, the side walk on the main canal of this part of the city. It is very well connected with San Marco Square and other main points of interest in Venice since the ferry stop (Tre Archi) is just on the other side of the canal.
Santa Lucia train station can be reached within 10 minutes walking or by ferry in 10 minutes (line 51). This line connects the apartment also with Piazzale Roma.
If you fly into Venice Marco Polo Airport there is also a connection by ferry from Venice Airport to Fondamenta Nove.
Food stores, pharmacy, bars, post office and restaurants, no more than 5 minutes walking.
We particularly recommend to you "Trattoria Marisa", on the Fondamenta of Cannaregio, just next to Tre Archi apartment. Delicious meals also to take away.

Venice is amazing. Sure, you know it is a place of water and old homes, tiny streets and marble bridges. But it doesn't matter how many pictures you have seen, postcards received or documentaries watched - you can never grasp how amazing this place is until seeing for yourself. Like Mecca for the East, Venice must be seen once before you die. Here instead of walking circles around the Koran, you are forever crossing little bridges in a place where a circle is not possible. A city fashioned on a base of many, many islands, with 177 canals and more than 400 bridges connecting all the streets. With Venice if you plan on getting lost, this will be your first success. You soon discover that this town is the great achievement of Italian confusion. Arty, yes. Logical, no. It is an adult's labyrinth - a dense maze of tiny streets that begin and end without names and cross over hundreds of small waterways via small identical footbridges. So get a map (little help), brush up on your Italian (little English spoken here) and have a load of lire for the water buses or taxis which stop along the Grand Canal. One of the best parts of walking this city is there ARE NO Vespas!
