I wanted to let you know that my husband and I had a wonderful time at Rapale, Bucine this year. This was our second trip toRapale and we loved it just as much this year. Rosanna is lovely and charming and the accommodations are spotless and comfy. The view, terrace and pool all wonderful. We recommend the pizza place down the hill at the intersection (forgot the name) (maybe Griglia?) for a fairly inexpensive, kid friendly meal, also Le Antiche Sere is excellent (when open)!! And much cheaper than you would expect for a sumptuous gourmet meal. We hope to return again in the future.

I'm no longer living in NYC but I'll keep reading your newsletters anyway. I've relocated to be near my girlfriend in Pisa, Italy. I had a great time staying at one of your places in Tellaro, Italy last January. In fact, that is the trip when I met this woman I'm now seeing and resulted in my moving to Pisa on June 15. I guess you can call this one of your success stories.

I feel so bad that it has almost been a full year since we went to stay in Casabella and just wanted to thank you so much so very much for really pushing it. It couldn't have been more perfect, more exceptional, more beautiful with a wonderful family -the owners. It was so well located and perfect for all of our family. Besides the over protective sheep dogs that nearly chewed my leg off, we had the most briliant time. You put so much time into helping me choose and I thank you. Thank you for your pleasant updates. I really enjoy them. You have certainly sent the right recipe to me. Here on Martha's Vineyard, scallops wrapped in bacon is an age-old tradition during the "R" months (scalloping season - also known as the "cold" months!) We love them!
Dreaming of our next vacation in one of your Italian villas. We are building a house right now, but as soon as that's over (is it ever over?), I hope to be winging my way to the Venice/Ravenna area. Will keep you posted.
