Apartment Rapallo, vacation rental in the Italian Riviera. Apartment Rapallo is a chic and well located vacation rental on the Riviera just on the hill of Rapallo infront of the splendid Portofino peninsula - within a 10 minutes walk to town (downhill) with its fancy yachts, relaxed seafood restaurants and designer shops. Yet the apartment is protected from the crowds, and so is this bustling town. It has a private garden with beautiful sea view. Located in a lovely condominium 5 minutes uphill from Rapallo, this apartment is surrounded by its own private panoramic garden shaded by olive trees and jasmine.
Rapallo can accommodate maximum 6 person. There are one double bedroom, two twin bedrooms (which can be joined, if required) and 1 single bedroom opening directly to the garden. There are 3 bathrooms (two with tub and a small one with shower. This last bathroom is very simple).
PLEASE NOTE: A Shuttle service connecting Riviera with the town is available daily 4 times a day - For this reason a car is not necessary.
About the location: This apartment is located up on a hill. From the house to the town of Rapallo it takes 10 minutes walking DOWN HILL. Of course, coming UP HILL it takes more time.
Although the shuttle service is available and although the house is 10 minutes from the centre of the town, we highly recommend to rent a car if guests have walking difficulties or have heart problems or are elderly people.

Although the Riviera stretches up to San Remo and into the French Riviera, the coastal towns of the Italian Riviera are Santa Margherita, Rapallo, del Sole, Parragi and Portofino. As you pass from France with Monaco and Menton into Italy - San Remo, you go from the toney towns and beaches (France) to scrubby hills dotted with run down green houses that once made San Remo the Capital of Flowers. That capital, like so many, has been exported to China. Further down to the real Italian Riviera, there is a land lush with its tropical flora ever blooming. The mountains are stunning with a crown of blue above that ends into a cobalt sea as inviting as the several small plates of antipasti mare mista sitting in front of me. That with a glass or two of Pigato and heaven has been redefined again. This is the real Italian Riviera. Houses are painted in a warm wash that seems to be ever artfully peeling off, exposing the worn burnt stucco underneath from centuries past. There should be a color called Portofino for the ocher these places are painted. Matched by the wooden shutters that are either green or red. Seldom anything else.
Touring Ideas:
Shuttle connecting rapallo to the rest of the riviera is on town. If you have walking difficuties, you want a car. If not, you really don't need one.
