Three elegant, air conditioned country homes sleeping 2, 4 and 6 people respectively, is at a perfect location - walking distance to the village of Settignano (walking distance of the village restaurant) and only 6 kilometers north east of Florence. The best of both worlds. An ideal base for those who wish to be close to Firenze, but who seek the fresh air of the Tuscan countryside. The property is landscaped with flowers and herbs; the green garden is loved and looked after Fabrizio and provides fresh vegetables that are used in the kitchen. The idyllic grounds of 1,5 hectares (3.70 acres) are rich in olive and fruit trees and offer a stunning view over Florence. Are you a painter? This could be a good spot.

Settignano is a picturesque and historic village with spectacular views located on a hillside northeast of Florence. Its name is famous (for some) as it gave birth to the three most influential sculptors of the Florentine Renaissance: Desiderio da Settignano, Bernardo and Antonio Rossellino. Even the young Michelangelo lived here in a farmhouse that is now aptly named the "Villa Michelangelo". The location is ideal for guests who desire the best of both city and country. Nestled among the vineyards and olive groves this small village is at 6 km from the historic center of Florence that can be reached by bus in 15 minutes. The A1 motor way is at a 10 minute drive, putting destinations like Siena, Chianti, Lucca, Pisa, Chianti are all within easy reach. Perfect location. There is a restaurant in Settignano and some shops.
What could we possibly say about Florence that hasn't been said before? What could we add to the volumes and volumes and volumes of books, articles, blogs, zines, and word of mouth that has been passed down through the centuries, beginning in...say...1300's.... about Florence?
"Nothing?"
Bravo dear reader. That's right. Nothing!
