And in restoring their proud village house (they actually live in Siena) they combined the best possible elements: stylish interior decorations, original beam and terra cota, thick fieldstone walls and comfortable modern furnishings and amenities. And Radicondoli is a classic, relatively undiscovered stone village in the Tuscan countryside. This is the perfect place for those of you wishing to get away from it all, and relax and experience the Tuscan village life. Views from Radicondoli (village) are amazing. The property has been beautifully done by the owners, an architect and his wife, and is full of character and charm with excellent quality furnishings and amenities. What's also wonderful is that there are three restaurants in Radicondoli, so you don't have to drive to eat at night. No designated drivers needed after that bottle of wine, or two. Go ahead! Drink up!

The Details:
Ground floor: The living area is very spacious and comfortable with a lovely open fireplace as well as a large separate dining room which comfortably seats eight people. Loads of seating on comfy sofas, good reading light. The kitchen also renovated with excellent taste is full of character with stone walls, beamed ceilings and a travertine counter top. Leading off from the dining room through large arched glass doors is an internal courtyard with outdoor eating and barbecue. This courtyard can also be accessed directly from the kitchen. There is a separate toilet and hand basin downstairs.
First floor: Upstairs there are two full size double bedrooms each complete with their own bathrooms allowing maximum privacy for two couples. One of the bedrooms also has a large loft space with two single beds and an oval window with wonderful views out on to the surrounding countryside. There is a small area for laundry on this level.
FYI: Radicondoli is located on a hill via smaller roads. Good for those that seek the lesser traveled spots. The town has all the amenities and charm you seek.

The town of Radicondoli is a classic medieval Italian hill town. In the countryside of Siena (although please note that Siena is at least a 30 minute drive through country lanes), there are a handful of other villages nearby (Casone) that offer their own more artistic walks, Radicondoli is for Italians making this an authentic stay in a friendly atmosphere. There are all the grocers and restaurants and bars needed when you don't want to cook.
