Casa Piki Located in Bonassola, Cinque Terre, Liguria, Italy - Vacation rental on the Mediterranean Sea is a perfect place to enjoy Italy and the beach with this by-the-sea rental. Bonassola is on the "Milk Train" line (the local coast rail line for Cinque Terre) that comes up from La Spezia and ends all the way up the Italian Riviera. Maybe it goes to France. Probably, what doesn't? Most important for you and your group is that Casa Piki has these wonderful views over the coast and sea (especially from the terrace-like roof) it's a walk to town and a stylish beach side interior. Perfect for a family, as there are two kitchens a wee garden and a walk to town. Teenagers will love the freedom. Parents will love the location, views and town proximity. In summer also available is the ferry service, which connects the main places on the coast. Both train station and ferry station are at close walking distance.
And here you sort of get service from local folks. In the same building there are two apartments completely independent. Bruno the gardener-caretaker and his wife Giovanna live in the same building in a completely independent apartment. Lina the efficient caretaker is also a very good local cook and can prepare delicious dinners with traditional Ligurian recipes. Casa Piki could sleep 8 - with kids that don't care - but we recommend 6. It is most comfortable this way.
Perfect for: family or couples.

You simply can't escape from a word or two on the popular area known as "Cinque Terre." Cinque Terre literally means "Five Lands" but in fact refers to the five charming fishing villages that lie between LEVANTO in the north and Portovenere to the south: Monterrosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. A place that used to be popular among Italian, but commonly among Germans, English and the increasingly adventurous American audience of Rick Steve's books and television specials (threatening the tranquility of this spot), Cinque Terre allows the traveler to embrace - literally - the mountains as they meet the sea via a hiking path which connects these humble villages. The main attraction here are not museums, historical duomo, piazza's and works of art. It's the fresh air, warm sea and often strenuous walk from village to village.
Touring Ideas:
Italian Riviera - 90 km (reachable by train)
La Spezia - 30 km (reachable by train)
Monterosso al Mare - 2 stops away
Closest airport is Pisa or Genova.
