Casa Alta is settled in Emilia Romagna at the Tuscan border. Emilia is a big province and many associate it with Parma, Bolognia, Modena, Ravenna among others. Well, there is the south as well which puts you within striking distance of Florence, the Adriatic and Bologna. So you basically get the art, food and sea. What more do you need?

Casa Alta, originally a shepherd's house, has been totally restored in 2005. The owner has used the finest local materials - terracotta flooring, chestnut from their own trees and tiles from the nearby factories of Faenza. All modern comforts are built in. It has a large garden with patios, lounge chairs and a panoramic swimming pool overlooking the valley. (10x5 mt, depth 1,20/1,90 mt). With this house there are two different levels, and two different rentals connected by a "communicating" door (as Italians are found of describing) via stair that seperates or joins the apartments and group.

Casa Alta First Floor features: All the rooms of this apartment have really marvellous views over the countryside! There is a spacious living room with fireplace, yellow leather sofas, Sat TV, DVD, CD player and ceiling fans. Dining room with a wooden table for 8 connected to the open space fully equipped kitchen. Gas range, fridge, freezer, oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, American coffee machine, kettle. On this floor there are also 4 double bedrooms with bathrooms. A corridor leads to the bedrooms area.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms: One twin/double bedroom. Ceiling fans and built - in closet. Two bathrooms just in front of this bedroom. Each bathroom has a shower. One master bedroom with double bed. NOT TWIN. Ceiling fan and built - in closet. One twin/double bedroom with ceiling fan and built - in closet. One twin/ double bedroomÊwith ceiling fan and built - in closet. One bathroom with shower. One bathroom with bathtub and handheld shower. On this floor there is also a small terrace with a table and two chairs. The facilities include also gas-fired water and central heating, washing machine in the laundry area. BBQ is available. 8 Sun long chairs and garden furniture for 8 are available for the guests.

Note: The pool is set in the lawn adjoining the house and shared with the clients of the upper floor apartment in the case it is rented.

ATTENTION: The kitchen on the ground floor is available only when the two units are rented at the same time by the same group. Otherwise it will not be open. Guests renting both the apartments will be allowed to use ONLY the two kitchens located on the ground floor of the villa. The third kitchen on the first floor will not be available.

Casa Alta is set in the most desirable location of the region - in the beautiful hills in the heart of Romagna-Toscana, a region off the well beaten tourist path. Located at the border of the Foreste Casentinesi, a National Park extending southward into Tuscany and at 28 Km from Faenza, famous for its ceramics since the 14th century. On the north side of this peaceful and lush valley, you will find the tiny Tuscan village of Lutirano; on the other side, 3 km down the hill in Romagna, is Tredozio with restaurants, meat shop, bakers, general stores, bars, banks and post office. Casa Alta is just half way between Florence (Km 85) and Bologna (80 km). Ravenna, capital of the world's finest Byzantine mosaics outside of Istanbul, is 45 km away.
